This painting was selected to be a part of the 32nd Annual Valdosta National 2020 Juried Exhibition which presents the best in contemporary art nationally in an all-media competition.  It was on display at the Dedo-Maranville Fine Arts Gallery in Valdosta, Georgia from January 21, 2020 until February 7, 2020.

While painting this one, I knew that each “piece” reminded me of the rocks in my beloved stone walk that I gathered and fit together.  When I took it outside to varnish, I suddenly became aware of all of the other paths around me like the ones made through the grass by rain, wind, and animals large and small.  Then I thought about all of the unseen pathways that we travel throughout our lives and realized that the shapes represent the tangible ones, and the colors, the intangible ones, or memories.
