Heavily textured impression of an early autumn field near my home.  In early Fall, the pastures are full of tall weeds such as Joe Pye and purple ironweed.  I look forward to seeing them every year.

This painting was selected to be a part of the 22nd Biennial 2021 West Virginia Juried Exhibition and was on display at the Culture Center at the State Capitol Complex in Charleston, WV from November 14, 2021 until February 19, 2022.  It was later chosen to be part of the 14th Annual Best of West Virginia Juried Exhibition and was on display at the David L. Dickirson Fine Arts Gallery at Tamarack in Beckley, WV from June 25, 2022 until August 17, 2022.  It was also on display at Parkersburg Art Center’s regional exhibit entitled “Roy G. Biv: Communicate in Color” in Parkersburg, WV from June 30th through August 19, 2023.
